RSS is one of those technologies that sets the men apart from the boys when it comes to business persons wishing to stay on the cutting edge. If business is truly war than any commander would have this in their arsenal.
I don't make that statement lightly as its been my experience that any business person I've ever encountered with an ounce of success in their blood has prided him/her self on current and up to date information. No one really desires to make decisions based on less than all the facts especially if a decision costs you in reputation or $$. RSS "Really Simple Syndication" is an ideal tool for staying on the top if employed correctly. Microsoft Outlook is likely one of the most widely used email client applications in use by business professionals the world over. It only makes sense that it would or should have an RSS feature, correct? Well unfortunately up until version 2007 it does not, however there is a third party freely available solution you can use. RSS Popper is a third party freely available application plug-in to Microsoft Outlook (and Outlook Express) that adds RSS to your email profile. Blogs and other frequented news items can be delivered directly to Outlook as e-mails in a separate folder specifically for RSS . There is no need to use a separate program for reading RSS anymore. All RSS/RDF/Atom formats are supported which covers the most widely used avenues for staying current. When we add all the tutorials we have assembled for The Brokers Edge I'll cover RSS in more depth on how it can be used to give Realtors a cutting edge. Until then you can download and install RSS Popper by visiting this link. RSS Popper: Download - Free RSS add-in for Outlook & Outlook Express Best Regards ~ Jared |
